Knowledge Center FAQ
Is the Knowledge Center investment advice?
No. It is educational material designed to explain precious-metals products, standards and market concepts. It does not recommend whether you should buy, sell or hold a metal.
Are the Oman guides legal or customs advice?
No. Oman-specific regulatory pages are source-backed overviews. Requirements can change and a real shipment or regulated transaction should be checked against the current official Oman Customs and MoCIIP requirements.
What sources does Rikaz use?
We prioritise primary sources: Oman government authorities for local rules and standards, and bodies such as LBMA for international bullion-market standards and benchmark information.
What does 999.9 mean on a gold bar?
It means 999.9 parts of gold per thousand, or 99.99% fine gold. The bar’s weight, refiner, serialisation and documentation can also matter.
Why is a physical bar price different from spot?
Spot is a market reference. A physical quote can also reflect fabrication, logistics, availability, financing, verification and the dealer bid/offer spread.
How often is this content reviewed?
Each guide displays a review date. The current Knowledge Center was reviewed on 19 August 2026, and regulatory pages link back to the official source so changes can be checked.
